North Tyneside CCG News

Coronavirus update – 4th February

Thu 04th February 2021

The CCG has administered 30,000 COVID vaccines since the first vaccination centre opened on the 15th December 2020.  We are making good progress working through the priority groups 3 and 4.

We are currently arranging COVID 19 vaccinations for residents aged 70 and over and residents who have received a shielding letter during the pandemic.  We will be offering vaccinations to these two groups of people over the next few weeks.  If you receive an invitation letter for your vaccine from the national mass vaccination programme, you are welcome to book onto this.  But if you would prefer to receive your vaccine at a local North Tyneside vaccination centre, which are in the North West, Wallsend and North Shields, then please wait to be called by your local service.  You will be contacted, do not worry.  In the meantime, please do not contact your practice asking when you will receive the vaccine as this prevents other urgent calls getting through.  If you have a general enquiry, you can submit an e-Consult form via the practice website.
