Healthwatch is an independent body set up to give healthcare consumers somewhere to turn to if they have any concerns about their care experience and also to initiate improvements to the health and care service.

Healthwatch operates at local and national level and has the power to influence how services are commissioned, designed and delivered. Responding to feedback from the local community about their health and social care needs, Healthwatch has the power to shape the services offered in North Tyneside.

If you have had any problems with services provided by the NHS, local authority, private or voluntary sector social care, including hospitals, GP surgeries, dental surgeries, mental health care, care homes, respite providers or home carers, Healthwatch is there to offer advice and assistance.
