At North Tyneside CCG we take the protection of vulnerable adults and children very seriously. We make sure that we follow Care Quality Commission guidelines set to safeguard both children and vulnerable adults. We strive to ensure that adults and children who use our services receive safe care, are treated with dignity and respect and are supported with timely and appropriate interventions.
If you are a member of the public and you have a concern about the safety or welfare of a vulnerable adult in North Tyneside, please complete our residents online reporting form.
The North Tyneside Safeguarding Adults Initial Enquiry Form is to be used by Adult Social Care providers to report suspected or actual instances of abuse or neglect and could form the start of a Safeguarding Adults (Section 42) Enquiry under the Care Act.
This form should be completed as fully as possible in order that robust decisions can be made about the progression, or otherwise, of the Safeguarding Adults Enquiry.
If you need further information about how we safeguard patients within the CCG, please contact our safeguarding teams for either adults or children.
Please see link below to’ Tricky Friends’ animation which was originally produced by Norfolk Safeguarding Adults Board, and has been adapted for North Tyneside and Northumberland. It has been developed with groups who support people with learning disabilities and autism, to help understand what good friendships are, when they might be harmful, and what they can do.
